Lauren Marie Calendrillo, now known as L’ren  was born on May 26, 1987 in Staten Island, New York. At the early age of three Lauren discovered her love for music, with microphone in one hand cassette and headset in the other; you would always hear her singing along with many of her favorite artists. The people who truly inspired her were Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Boys to Men and of course her mother  Jean Marie. With many hours of dancing and training behind her, Lauren was focused and determined to be the next household name in the music industry. At such an early age, Lauren had the opportunity to travel and perform with her mother in her show. Starting at talent shows, Fairs, Festivals, Cruise Ships and Major Hotels throughout the country. Five years later, Lauren and her Italian-American family packed up and headed to South Florida.  Here is where her talents started to shine. Aside from music, Lauren has appeared on screen and has appeared in print.   At the age of ten, Lauren then discovered her talent in songwriting. With pen in hand her lyrics would naturally flow onto her paper. As she matured so did her music. She then knew what she wanted to say through her music. She was now writing from her heart. With the experiences only the best have ever been through, she now expresses them through her music. In 2002, Lauren and her brother (J2) released their debut maxi album; with tracks such as "Set it off" mastered by Kenny Lewis who also mastered Mariah Carey and LL Cool J. J2 has performed at many venues and major concerts throughout Florida, from Disney's Pleasure Island to Sunrise Theatre to Y-100 Wing Ding in Miami. In 2004, L’ren made her solo debut with Get Witchu" on  X 102.3 South Florida.  She will also be featured on Baby Bash up and coming album.   Now at seventeen, L’ren is ready and about to journey onto her solo career. It's hard to believe this young lady has the knowledge and music ability way beyond her years. With producing and engineering her own work on Pro Tools, this has made her a truly dedicated and determined artist. L’ren is a natural born performer.  L'ren also plans to start the LCares Foundation  Orphanage along  with St. Jude Children Hospital. She has also been offered an endorsement of a skin care line with her name and image.
